FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the mission of Care Net?
We seek to uphold the dignity of human life by encouraging choices surrounding pregnancy and sexual integrity which support the health of the whole person. We are concerned with more than just the outcome of a woman's pregnancy. We care about the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of each person that comes in our doors. See our Commitment of Care pledge.

What services does Care Net provide?
Free Pregnancy testing, limited obstetrical ultrasound, materials such as maternity clothes, baby clothes & diapers, and our Relate abstinence program in schools and youth groups. Please see our Services page for a complete list of services.

How can I volunteer at Care Net?
There are many different ways to volunteer. In order to be a volunteer meeting clients in the center, you will need to take an 18 hour volunteer training, held periodically during the year. Board membership is a great way to volunteer if you don't have enough time to come into the center weekly. Would you like to make some bracelets to give away to clients? Be a church liaison or throw a baby shower for Care net in your church? Perhaps you have a skill or talent that you think would benefit Care Net. Please give us a call and we can send you a volunteer packet with a list of volunteer opportunities.

What do you do if a woman wants an abortion?
We believe that abortion not only takes the life of a human being, but we also believe that abortion can harm women emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Therefore we do not perform abortions or provide referrals for abortion or abortifacients. We always let our clients know that if they choose abortion, they are still welcome to come back in to talk or receive other services they need.

Is there a spiritual component to Care Net?
Yes, Care Net is a Christian organization. We love to have spiritual conversations with our clients if they are open to it. We invite them to learn what we believe about the Gospel and the love God has for them. Often we will use a gospel bracelet to share our faith and give them a bracelet along with a bible if they would like one. However we never discriminate against anyone according to their religious beliefs and if they prefer not to talk about spiritual matters, we never push them to do so.

How is Care Net funded?
Care Net is completely funded through churches, fundraisers (Banquet, Baby Bottle Blessing, Walk for Life) and individual giving. We receive no federal funds or grants.

How can I make a financial donation to Care Net?
Monthly gifts can be sent by check via the U.S. mail or be withdrawn automatically from your bank account each month (contact us if you're interested in automatic giving). If you would like to make a donation via your credit card, you may do so by visiting our home page or you may click HERE to use PayPal and make a donation now.
